It’s been a while since I last posted. I’ve been spending free time on a vegetable garden and framing photos for the house. However, as part of an ongoing personal project, I did attend the Foxfield Races on April 25th. For those of you who don’t know what it is, please visit robertowestbrook.com and click Foxfield for a description. I wanted to make some portraits of jockeys this year to show a different side of the race, but the PR person shot me down. This was the response to my request, “I just went to your website and what you write and choose to show about the races is the worst behavior of Foxfield. I do not feel to expose the jockeys to your point of view.” So instead, I was confined to the infield photographing the revelers. Seems like that was not the desired outcome for either one of us. I’ll post a few more in the coming days.
